Map the real opening
Measure the narrowest internal width, depth, and closed height. Include the space taken by runners or protrusions. Measure the longest item you plan to keep flat.
Group what belongs here
Lay the contents on a sheet cut to the drawer’s internal footprint. Group items by use and leave a small flexible area rather than forcing every item into a permanent cell.
Test before buying the set
Compare bin outside dimensions and divider thickness. A nominally matching group can still exceed the usable opening when arranged together. Test the configuration before buying identical sets for other drawers.
