Map the real opening
Measure the opening at several heights, including baseboards. Read appliance clearances in the actual manuals; ventilation and service space are not automatically spare storage.
Group what belongs here
List only what should live in this area. Keep products in their labeled packaging and follow their storage instructions. Reserve movement space for doors and the cart’s normal use.
Test before buying the set
Compare the cart’s outside width, depth, handle, and wheel envelope. Test a paper footprint and normal laundry motions before buying. A cart that blocks a machine door is not a useful storage gain.
